ArtSoup, the arts festival sponsored by the Elk River Area Arts Alliance (ERAAA) is returning this year to beautiful downtown Elk River on Saturday, June 15, 2013. This annual festival is a free, fun, family-friendly day that features art, live music, food, dance, and theater.
The event will include Art Sales Booths with painting, glass, jewelry, pottery & much more - A great place to find gifts or something unique for yourself.
Juried & Member Art on display in the galleries
Visit Tents offering children's art activities and showcasing community groups.

11:00 AM – 12:00 Z Puppets Rosnschnoz
“When the Baby goes missing, Mr. Punch sets out to the rescue – unleashing mischief and mayhem all the way. Tangling with a crocodile, a policeman and the devil himself, Mr. Punch presents a travesty of manners in which the children (the audience) must keep the puppets from misbehaving and the Baby triumphs in the end.”
12:15-1:00 Land of Lakes Mens & Boys Choirs
The Land of Lakes Choirboys are going on tour next week and we are fortunate to have them perform here.
We are also pleased to premiere the newly formed Land of Lakes Men's Choir.
1:15 – 2:15 Living History Society Fashion Show
Today is also History Day in Elk River and the Living History Society will present a Fashion Show highlighting dress in the 1860s.
2:30 – 3:30 Strings for Youth
Strings for Youth, sponsored by Community Education and the Elk River Art Alliance, is the only stringed instrument instruction in our public school. Come and hear these young musicians perform at the Great River Energy Stage.
3:30 - 4:00 North Ballet Academy Demonstration
We are fortunate to have so many art opportunities in our region. Come see what the North Ballet Academy and the North Ballet Youth Company have to offer you and your family
4:15-6:45 Chuck Skajewski and his Acoustic Guitar
Chuck is a local artist who plays solo and with the group “THEN & NOW." Chuck and his group perform around town, in Maple Grove and at many special events
7:00 – 9:00 .340 Magnums
.340 Magnums are a five piece high energy band – good old Rock-N-Roll, some old country, some modern – artists like Jason Aldean, Johnny Cash, Van Halen and Van Morrison
